We work with co-parents who are facing disagreements on what is best with their children from parenting time schedules to extra curricular activity selection and all the others details that fall in between.
We work with children who appear alienated from a parent to reestablish a healthy relationship.
We work with parties where various life situations (such as drug use, life choices, and other complicated dynamics) have created a break in a parenting time and there is a need for the parent/child relationship to be reestablished.
We provide divorce consulting for one party who desires to not have a mental health diagnosis and join with an experienced professional who has walked with hundred of parties in the middle of divorce. We recommend you ask your attorney for an engagement letter to protect the privacy of this work.
We can create a creative solution for your unique situation! As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Reunification Therapist, Mediator, and Parent Coordinator/Facilitator with over 20 years of experience empowering couples and families, Michelle Nietert, LPC-S works with you and/or your attorney to find out of court solutions for the current challenges your child/children face.
Our staff desires to empower families to make decisions in order to arrive at creative solutions on their own. Our goal is to advocate for the best interest of the child. The question we try to help you find answers to is not "What do you want or what will make you happy?" but "What can you live with?" and most importantly "What is BEST for your child(ren). How involved the child is in the process is directly related to their age, emotional development, and dynamics involved.
We work with couples who want to avoid a costly divorce by creating a cooperative approach to matters of their children and separation. We call this a cooperative divorce.
Supervised visitation is only offered to families involved in other CCMS service or family receiving counseling services from Community Counseling Associates.
