Parent Coordinator
A parenting coordinator is an official title created by the Texas Family Code(See Below). A parenting coordinator is a neutral party whose goal is to encourage coparents to make decisions in the best interest of the child. What occurs in parenting coordination is confidential and if a court order is involved the only report a coordinator can make to the court is whether or not parenting coordination should continue or not.
Parenting coordinators in general are either mental health professionals and recently added – attorneys. Attorneys who act as parenting coordinators are restrained from giving any legal advice and if legal documents are required of the parties, an attorney will still need to be hired unless the parties are choosing to file paperwork with the courts pro se (on one’s own behalf before the court). Ask us about our referral list of attorneys who are willing to file divorce documents at a fixed rate.
Experienced mental health professionals like Michelle Nietert are trained to assist families with conflict resolution and have vast understandings of child development which can be very helpful when parents are unsure of how to come to agreement for the sake of their child(ren). She also has dedicated over 20 years of her life working with children and adolescents and can talk with them without
asking direct questions that can cause undo stress.
Call us today to see how we can empower you to get out of the conflict loop and learn how to let go of the conflict and allow your child to have the best future involving both parents possible.

Parenting Facilitator
A parenting facilitator functions very similarly to a coordinator with a two very important exceptions:
The meetings are not confidential, notes are taken, and the facilitator can testify in court.
